Like Infrastructure, Industry and Mining is a key economic driver in this State. The importance of industry and mining grows significantly with the rapid growth of population in the Perth Metropolitan Region and Regional Western Australia. The importance of industry and mining is recognised through Government policies. Nevertheless industry remains under pressure as land is converted for non industrial uses. It is therefore important that industry is given its due weight both when contemplating strategic planning in Western Australia and where considering applications for new industry and mining projects or where re approvals and expansions occur.
Allerding & Associates is well aware of the importance of industry and mining and has experience in both the strategic level and implementation of their approvals or expansions. This experience is wide ranging and extends to the Regional Resource Recovery Centre in Canning Vale, Extractive Industries in Red Hill and Byford, development of Aquaculture Facilities in Jurien Bay and the development of a pilot Biofuels plant in Karratha. Allerding and Associates were also responsible for the coordination of the pipeline servicing the Karara Iron Ore Project and structure plan approvals for the structure plan for the Australian Marine Complex and Common User Facility in Henderson. Intensive animal husbandry, though Piggeries and Poultry Farm developments also represent a small sample of significant projects Allerding and Associates have been involved in.
The development of industry and mining projects will become even more important with continued growth in this State although it is expected that approvals processes will become more stringent as demand and competition for land occurs. Allerding and Associates has the experience and capability to represent these industry interests and assist in facilitating proposals through the planning and environmental process.
